lyrics

Anticipation

I am here in anticipation
of your great return
I am anxious
the kettle screams
songs yet unsung

A car drives by
the fridge is humming
overhead a plane passes by
the city light flashes
traffic full of life
my cell phone’s buzzing via satellite

I am here in anticipation
of your great return
I am anxious
the kettle screams
songs yet unsung

You’ve been gone
It’s only natural
A night or two to rest your head

You gonna stay
If you want me too
he answered her that way

I am here in anticipation
of your great return
I am anxious
the kettle screams
songs yet unsung
I am here in anticipation
of your great return
I am anxious
the kettle screams
songs yet unsung
